Hi, I'm Tess. I am a nature and animal lover and I'm now living the dream being a doggy day carer!  I have 5 star rated Animal Activity Licence and am fully insured.

I aim to provide the best care possible when you are unable to be there for your dog/s so you can rest assured that your pets are happy and being cared for to a very high standard, returning to you feeling confident after having lots of fun and fuss, rest and play.

Photos and videos are frequently updated on Doggy Day Care facebook page so you can see how your dog is getting on- click on the link below to see what we do here.

I worked in Social Care for over thirty years before becoming a dog carer and whilst children are very different to dogs, they have the same need for strong and healthy attachments, routine and boundaries. Dogs require plenty of exercise, stimulation, guidance and positive reinforcement and I am committed to providing this to the dogs in my care.  The chance to socialise with other dogs helps them to learn to interact appropriately, providing the opportunity to develop more acceptable and appropriate behaviours where required.

I ensure that dogs are well matched within the group so they can feel relaxed, ensuring that nervous or older dogs or dogs with other specific needs are met. I will meet with you and your dog either at your home or mine depending on whether you are looking for boarding, day care or dog walking, when we can talk about your dog's particular needs to make an initial decision about whether it feels right before having a free first taster session.

"He loved it!!!!!  He cried walking down the steps when we left!  He then slept all night... We will be back very soon and highly recommend you to everyone we know!"

Cressida, Romeo's owner

"Due to an operation unfortunately unable to take our family dog Alfie out for his normal walk.  Popped a notice on Spotted Birstall out of desperation; three kids, partner with his own business, no time. Tess Keen popped up- well what an absolute God send with her friendly dog Willow. Straight round, picked up Alfie, never looked back since. Alfie knows her car when pulled up, wagging his tail at the door- that's the response you need ... Helped with Alfie's barking while walking, seems a lot calmer at home so recommended Tess to a friend in same situation... After I'm back on my feet will definitely be hooking up with Tess on her walk. Alfie & I feel we made friends for life..

Thanks Tess."

Cheryl, Alfie's owner

"Padley really loves going to Tess, it's great to have someone local who is reliable and has real love for dogs.  Padley comes home shattered from playing all day which is exactly what we want with our busy lifestyles."

Colin and Sophie, Padley's owners
